A company enters the next generation

The mission

Klaus Plaschka had spent almost 30 years establishing a leading company for technical building services with 20 employees and excellent references. He wanted to hand his company over to the right buyers at the right time and then to move on to new horizons. However, the business was highly dependent on the owner and there was no sign of a possible internal successor. So, a concept was needed to take the company into the next generation.

The way

From the very beginning, the cooperation was designed for a longer period of time. The first step was to “spruce up” the company with long-term contractual relationships and a high-level stabilization of performance. Owner dependence was reduced by strengthening the “second tier”. Then potential buyers were approached with a convincing exposé. After a series of talks, the right successors were chosen − they share the company’s philosophy but also bring in new qualities to take business to the next level.

The result

Both sellers and buyers are very satisfied with the result. The chemistry is right and the employees are also on board. Progression with the handover schedule is harmonious and trusting. The business parameters are satisfactory, and the seller is happy that he knows his life’s work is in good hands.
