Business success from start-up to succession.
We have supported many of our clients for years − or even decades. Why? With our wide range of services, we reliably advise companies in every phase of their development and provide new, strategic impetus for the future.
Start-up
We approach every new idea openly, curiously and very strategically. This is the only way to make a project successful. We think about the issue in all its facets: What has to happen for it to work? What requirements does this place on customer acquisition, costing and the organization of processes? And which approach suits the individual wishes and ideas of the start-up team?
In a second step, we examine what resources are required for the joint strategy and what arguments we need to convince our own team, the banks and other stakeholders of this approach. Subsequently, tasks are distributed among the business founders and Arntz & Beckmann in order to lead the business idea to success.
An important key to success is that we approach banks at an early stage to sound out their support for the project − and to set up the further financing process in a targeted and trustworthy manner.
In the next step, we offer to support successful implementation. The focus here is usually on sparring and controlling. This should help us all to look beyond the day-to-day business. We discuss new ideas, provide feedback on current processes, strengthen controlling and thus ensure stable development.

Growth
Growing companies know that their business model works, their services are valued and their profitability is proven. We help these companies to get to the next level. This begins with a clear view of the potential: What would be possible if sufficient capital were available? Where are the bottlenecks? What wishes or potentials exist that may have been put on hold in the past?
We develop a vision for the future and consider how this can be achieved. Tasks are often divided so that the company identifies the ideas and potential and Arntz & Beckmann examines them for strengths, weaknesses and feasibility. We then get to work together. In most cases, the companies take on the technical tasks (e.g. investment planning), while Arntz & Beckmann take care of the costing and financing. A game of “ping-pong” begins as we play the balls to each other in order to develop a convincing growth strategy as quickly as possible.
As with start-ups, we also support the implementation of concepts in this phase. The aim is to keep the companies on track and develop them continuously.

Succession
The circle closes when it comes to company succession. This needs to be prepared at an early stage and we also think about this topic from all angles: What needs to happen to attract interest for the company? What are the influencing factors? How do you prepare smartly for the time of the takeover? What are sensible techniques for approaching buyers? What are the company’s strengths? Which target group may be interested in the company? How can the company be valued? How should a sales process be prepared?
From the beginning of our support process, we focus on the company’s interests. We clarify the current situation and develop measures to make the company stronger and more attractive. We then start the sales process with company valuation and a buyer search (here we cooperate with the M&A specialist COVENDIT, using their database of potential buyers). We monitor the negotiations and provide support in cooperation with tax advisors and lawyers.
If there are internal candidates for the takeover or successors from within the family, we develop the concept to suit the new generation. Classic topics include modernizing the business model and adapting structures to new circumstances.
We are also happy to support the succession plan after the official handover, ensuring the new structures are sustainable for at least another generation.

Crisis management
Developments are not always straightforward. Sometimes companies slip into a crisis situation. Perhaps the business concept does not work out, perhaps liquidity was calculated with too little leeway, perhaps there were external shocks or strategic mistakes.
In these cases, external support can help by providing fresh perspectives, clear analyses and a wealth of experience. In practical terms, it is usually a question of realigning the company and ensuring sufficient liquidity during the transition. It is often also important to re-establish a good relationship of trust with banks or creditors − this is one of our strengths. We provide clear analysis and planning, open communication, a good sense of what is feasible and the ability to successfully complete tasks.
